Focaccia

This classic bread, infused with fragrant herbs and topped with savory ingredients, is a hit at any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 3 2/3 cup of bread or AP flour

  • 5 tsp yeast

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 2 cups water room temp

  • 2 tsp salt

  • A few sprigs of rosemary

  • olive oil

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, yeast and sugar in a bowl until well combined.

  2. Add the water and mix for 5 minutes. Cover with plastic wrap and let sit for 10 minutes.

  3. Add the salt, mix for 5 minutes.

  4. Drizzle with olive oil.

  5. Cover and let rise for a minimum of 5-6 hours.

  6. Deflate the dough and transfer to a parchment lined and oiled pan. Let sit for 2-4 hours so it resizes in the pan.

  7. Dimple the dough, then top with rosemary and more olive oil.

  8. Bake in oven at 500* for 20 minutes.
